Mike McGinity has 28 years of utility industry experience. For the last eleven years, Mike has been implementing, supporting and upgrading SAP EAM, Project Systems, Enterprise Portal, Materials Management, BW/BI and SRM. Currently he serves as a Business Integration Manager for RRI Energy and serves as a liaison between Plant Operations and Information Technology. Mike also works closely with the business unit staff to identify and address opportunities to improve operations and maintenance results through the application of existing and new Information Technology tools.
Mike Klimchak, Business Systems Support Manager, RRI Energy
Mike Klimchak has worked for over 35 years in the power generation industry. He has filled many roles at power stations including in instrumentation and controls, various maintenance functions and supply chain roles. For the last eight years, Mike has been implementing and supporting the standardization of maintenance processes using SAP EAM, Project Systems, Enterprise Portal, and Materials Management in the RRI Energy fleet of generating stations. Currently he serves as a manager of business system support for plant operations and serves as a liaison between plant operations and Information Technology. As part of this role, Mike works closely with the plant operations process owners and IT staff to identify and address opportunities to improve operations and maintenance results through the application of existing and new Information Technology tools.
Kenneth Webber, Business Consultant, RRI Energy
Ken Webber has over 32 years of experience in maintenance and utilities. Past roles include maintenance manager and planning manager positions. Ken is currently a member of RRI Energy’s business systems support group. He provides support, training and trouble shooting for the PM module for RRI Energy’s plants. This support includes bringing new requests and ideas for improving maintenance efficiencies, history capture and compliance data. One of Ken’s recent projects was the roll out of the training for multi-resource scheduling tool across RRI’s fleet.
Robert Vela Jr., IT Specialist, RRI Energy
Robert Vela has over 35 years of experience in the utility industry. He started as a planner for distribution, street lighting and underground facilities. Robert became a budget coordinator to oversee approximately half of the company’s distribution projects. He was assigned as a team member to design and implement the installation of SAP as the company’s ERP in 1997. Robert has since supported the business in PM, PS, BW, MM, MRS, and some HR and FICO. He also supports Primavera with an interface to SAP. He has served as project manager on various SAP projects, including system interfaces, multi-resource scheduling, total work package printing, and currently an outage planner superscreen on the SAP portal.

Russell Bear, Texas City, ODR Administrator, Valero Energy Corporation
Russell Bear has been employed with Valero’s Texas City refinery for 19+ years. Hired as a Process Unit Operator, Russell worked his way to become a Console Operator before being asked to assist in implementing a mobile data collection system. Since implementation Valero Texas City has become the company’s standard for implementing and maintaining such a system. Russell continues to assist Valero’s other sites in establishing a successful ODR (Operator Driven Reliability) program.
David Dollar, Product Manager, Wonderware
As the Senior Product Manager for IntelaTrac, David Dollar brings nine years of experience in all aspects of marketing, supporting and defining the IntelaTrac product. He started in Sales for SAT Corporation in 2000 and has directly managed or has been heavily involved in relationships with several of SAT’s largest customers since that time. From mid 2001 through 2005, David’s responsibilities as Product Marketing Manager included running the IntelaTrac Users Group Conference in 2004 and 2005, development of marketing collateral, documentation, training material for users and sales along with developing requirements for new versions of the product. In 2006, David moved into the full-time Product Manager role and has been heavily involved in the delivery of Version 3.2 with advanced scheduling and work process management capabilities, and the upcoming release, Version 4.0, which will include more advanced configuration capabilities to facilitate customers in water / wastewater, food & beverage, pharmaceutical and discrete manufacturing along with expanding the IntelaTrac software footprint in oil & gas / chemicals. David has a bachelor degree in business administration from Stephen F. Austin University in Texas.

Gerry has over 20 years of business experience in Plant Maintenance Management from the Mining and Forestry sectors as well as 6 years functional SAP experience in the areas of PM and MM. Gerry was the PM Team Lead on a recent mid-sized company SAP implementation and was the project manager on the Agrium e-MOC project. Gerry’s personal goal for the e-MOC solution was that it “meets or exceeds auditing expectations and provides a practical solution that the end users would actually use.”

Kevin Head is a senior analyst on the IT-Manufacturing team at Agrium in Calgary, Canada. Kevin has a wealth of experience in various SAP areas including SD, MM, PM and QM. With just over 10 years of SAP technical experience, Kevin was the lead developer on the e-MOC project and played a key role in the decision to use ABAP Web Dynpro as the UI solution; which proved to be fundamental in reinventing and standardizing Agrium’s MOC processes. Kevin’s personal goal for the e-MOC solution was that it was “As easy to use as EBay and that the end users could once again attain a little faith in SAP.”

Alishia Jolivette is the SAP plant/fleet maintenance team lead at Houston Independent School District (HISD) with over 6 years of SAP R/3 upgrade and maintenance experience. She is responsible for the administration, integration, and configuration of the SAP Plant Maintenance module focusing in the areas of Work Order Processing, Preventative Maintenance, and Fleet Maintenance. Her SAP R/3 expertise includes the upgrade of the PM module from 3.1H to version 4.6C, 4.6C2 ISPS (Industry Solution for Public Sector), and to version 4.7. Alishia is the InfoPak Administrator where she develops training documentation and conducts training to the HISD’s Power Users in the Construction and Facilities Services Department, Transportation Services Department, and Food Services Department. She is currently involved in the upgrade initiative to ERP 6.0. Alishia also maintains the HISD’s SAP Department’s website by providing enhancements, improvements, and routine maintenance.

Mark graduated for Wyoming Technical Institute with a degree in Diesel Technology in 1982. After working as a Journeyman Mechanic for CenterPoint Energy, I accepted a position as a Planner/Scheduler in the Transportation department when SAP was implemented in 1999. I joined the Houston Independent School District in June 2003 as Central Shop Supervisor II and was promoted to Fleet Operations Manager in March 2004. At that time, the SAP team and Fleet Management re-implemented SAP with great success.

Coors implemented SAP in 1999, replacing three legacy maintenance systems, one of which was a fleet management system with standard SAP R3 functionality. During this Show & Tell, Don will cover how MillerCoors uses standard SAP R3 to manage our fleet, leveraging internal orders for fuel consumption and licensing while using corrective and preventative orders for the remainder of the maintenance. You will learn how “measure documents” drive MillerCoors reporting of equipment cost per mile as well as the details of how this has been setup. Theis show & tell will be on the SAP ECC6.0 client.

Don manages the support of SAP Plant Maintenance and the Maintenance Material modules for the five MillerCoors plants that are running SAP PM. Don was the CMMS business lead for the Coors Y2K SAP 31i implementation in 1999, 46c upgrade in 2001 and the ECC6.0 upgrade in 2008. Because SAP is an enterprise solution, this support often extends into the FI, HR and WM modules of SAP. He is currently working on the migration of the six MillerCoors breweries that are running Maximo to SAP PM.

The power of this combination is that the dashboard not only shows a set of comprehensive graphs with drill down capability, but provides a clear framework to prioritize the relevance of each KPI and underlying PI scores in terms of business value contribution. Every element of a graphic is the starting point for further analysis; every click gives drill down capability to additional detailed information corresponding to the specific selection, even down to the lowest level of work orders that caused the problem.

Prior to joining ConAgra, Paul led the corporate TPM and Technical Services organizations for Anderson Corporation. He has been a senior management consultant both in the USA and Europe and has worked with many of the world’s blue chip organizations, including Kraft Foods, Unilever, Cadbury, Eli Lilly, Ford, Chrysler, BNFL, Royal Mint, Royal Mail, and Post Danmark and has lectured at Glasgow University, Scotland on TPM.
